Insurance Costs Preventing Recovery | Business Insurance
The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) say that increasing business costs are threatening the recovery.
The Association has emphasised the need for greater cost controls and productivity, both in the private and public sectors in order to maintain competitiveness. However, ISME thinks that Government action is required in insurance and bank sectors.
ISME Chief Executive, Mark Fielding siad,
"Both private enterprise and government have a role to play in maximising productivity, which means increasing output with the same resources. Pay rates are still high by European standards and must be managed both in the public and private sector. Pay restraint will allow us to improve competitiveness in the international economy, while raising the standard of living at home".
Business insurance costs are not increasing as rapidly as Car Insurance, but there has been some gentle upwards movement in certain areas. However, there is still good value to be had if you are prepared to shop around or have a broker to do it for you.
